Minding the gap in Sverige!
Corps in Sweden have pledged to support 7 sponsored delegates as part of the Mind the Gap programme. Norrköping and Vasa Corps have each committed to supporting a delegate, Västerås Corps to 2 delegates, and Stockholm Temple Corps to 3 delegates!
See three corps that have recently come together to mind the gap – the first joint fundraising venture!
The Västerås, Uppsala, and Örebro Corps recently held their fifth annual Bygget Malardalen Conference, during which a special offering was taken up to support Mind the Gap.
Bygget Malardalen Conference 2014
The theme of the Conference was “Time for Holiness”. Västerås Corps Officer, Major Peter Jonasson elaborates, “The vision for the Conference [was] to be a part of the renewal of the Salvation Army in Sweden, a place for fellowship and relaxation, a place for spiritual build-up and a place to be equipped for ministry. We […] found that the combination of teaching, worship, prayer and relaxation is a fruitful concept. ‘For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy…’ (Leviticus 11:44).”
Thank you for minding the gap, dear friends! We look forward to seeing you at BOUNDLESS, which, like “Time for Holiness,” will be a time of renewal and sanctification.
