Charge to Film Makers by General John Larsson (Ret.) – The Salvation Army is beginning to really utilise the art of film making as a ministry and our special guest will acknowledge this and highlight the need for many more brilliant minds and passionate hearts for the mission of filmmaking in the Salvation Army world.

Highlight Submission Selections – We have been receiving film submissions from all over the Salvation Army world and throughout the Boundless Film Festival we will be highlighting the best of the best!

Showcase from Salvo StudiosSalvo Studios is the media production team of The Salvation Army in the Australia Southern Territory. They are dedicated to providing Salvation Army churches and services with professional media content that is engaging, challenging and relevant to contemporary culture.

Boundless Film Lab

Between the first and second sessions of the Film Festival we will be holding a Boundless Film Lab in the lobby of the Cinema. At the lab, our filmmakers and film units will have a space to highlight their work and meet and greet with the audience. Take full advantage of the opportunity to get involved in what is going on in the world of Army filmmaking!

Showcase of “Ethembeni – A Place of Hope” – A short film that captures the love, grace and empathy of this very special children’s home in Johannesburg, South Africa. The film was shot on location in Johannesburg in 2014.

Showcase of “1929 – The Salvation Army High Council” – The story surrounding the first ever Salvation Army High Council and the removal from office of General Bramwell Booth in 1929.

Premiere of IHQ Communications film “India – The Army’s Oldest Mission Field” – Captures the beauty and essence of India as seen through the lens of The Salvation Army's historic and vibrant ministry in this country of 1.2 billion people.

Phil Cooke spotlight on Hollywood and Christianity – Filmmaker and media consultant Phil Cooke has produced programming in nearly 50 countries. Through his company Cooke Pictures in Burbank, California – he’s helped some of the largest organisations in the world use the media to tell their story. His book “One Big Thing: Discovering What You Were Born to Do” was named by the Washington Post as one of the Top Five Business Books for 2012.

Showcase from SAVN.TV The Salvation Army Vision Network (SAVN.TV) is a multimedia branch of the USA Western Territory which provides high quality media, online videos, resources, and live video chat rooms, all designed to tell the Army's story and win the world for Christ.

Showcase of “Bayanihan: The Spirit of Community” – Without any order or communication, many people were unable to verify the safety of their families and loved ones after Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. Two cadets, from The Salvation Army College for Officers Training in the Philippines, embark on a journey to the far corners of the country in hopes of locating missing family members.

Special Tribute from Charlie GreenCharlie Green appeared on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ when he was only 11 years old and has since been invited to many parts of the world for concerts and television appearances.

Boundless Film Festival – Session Four

Premiere of “Home Coming Africa” with Special Guest General André Cox – A powerful documentary highlighting the return of The Salvation Army's International Leaders (General André Cox and Commissioner Silvia Cox) to Zimbabwe - the land of the General's birth. A visual smorgasbord of joy and celebration, the documentary concludes with the Easter Weekend Congress in Gweru, Zimbabwe where 15,000 attended.

Showcase from Salvation Army TodaySA Today is based in the USA Southern Territory and they primarily produce a weekly webcast focusing on keeping people informed about what is happening in the Salvation Army world.
